What is Npontu Technologies?

Npontu Technologies is Ghana’s leading Artificial Intelligence Company, dedicated to creating innovative solutions that serve African needs. Our flagship product, Snwolley AI, is an intelligent conversational system built with cultural and linguistic understanding of African contexts.

We provide hands-on training for emerging talents in AI research, software development, UI/UX design, DevSec Ops, and intelligent systems. Interns contribute directly to real-world Npontu projects.

The program includes Research & Development, Software Engineering, UI/UX Design, Platforms, Applications & Operations Support, Intelligent Systems, DevSec Ops, Quality Assurance, and Talent & Compliance.

Yes, Npontu works closely with universities, research centres, and global AI networks to advance responsible AI innovation in Africa.

We welcome applications from undergraduate students, recent graduates, and career switchers passionate about artificial intelligence, software engineering, and technology innovation. Applicants should be enrolled in or have completed programs in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, or related fields.

Our standard internship program runs for 2-6 months, with opportunities for extension based on performance and project needs. We offer both full-time and part-time arrangements to accommodate academic schedules.

Our application process consists of four stages:

  • Online application submission (resume, cover letter, portfolio/GitHub profile)
  • Technical assessment or case study relevant to your chosen team
  • Automated AI Interview Snwolley AI
  • Final decision and offer letter (typically within 2-3 weeks of application)

We accept applications on a rolling basis throughout the year, with primary intake periods in January, May, and September. However, we encourage you to apply as soon as you’re ready, as positions fill quickly.

Each team works on real projects that directly impact Npontu’s products, including our flagship Snwolley AI platform.

At Npontu, interns are integral team members working on production projects from the get-go. Your code ships to real users, and your research influences product decisions.

Yes! We encourage interns to showcase their work. While some projects may have confidentiality restrictions, most work can be included in your portfolio with appropriate attribution. We’ll guide you on what can be shared publicly.

: Yes! Npontu actively hires from our intern pool. Many of our current employees started as interns. Outstanding performance during your internship can lead to full-time offers or priority consideration for open positions.

Absolutely! Snwolley AI is not just a product we build, it’s a tool we use. Interns are encouraged to leverage Snwolley AI for code generation, debugging, research, and learning. This gives you direct experience as both a builder and user of AI systems.

Successful applications typically include:

  • Clear explanation of why you’re interested in AI and Npontu specifically
  • Demonstration of technical skills through GitHub repositories, portfolios, or projects
  • Evidence of learning agility and problem-solving ability

Not necessarily. While AI experience is beneficial for certain teams (like Intelligent Systems), we value diverse backgrounds. Strong fundamentals in programming, problem-solving, and eagerness to learn AI concepts can be equally valuable. We’ve had successful interns from various backgrounds who grew tremendously during their time here.
